1. Legendary Classic Cars: Jaguar E-Type

Starting our list of legendary classic cars is the E-type. Jaguar produced the E-type from 1961 to 1975. Dubbed “the most beautiful car ever produced by Enzo Ferrari” when it was released, the Jaguar E-Type topped the All-Time 100 Cars list, compiled by The Daily Telegraph in March 2008.

The Porsche 911, the classic of the years that took fifth place in the 1999 survey to determine the Car of the Century. It is a model that has been described as a myth by experts on the subject and has appeared many times in popular culture. The Porsche 911, which reached 1 million units in 2017, has been in production since 1964.

3. Mercedes-Benz 300 SL (Gullwing)

The German manufacturer Mercedes-Benz produced the Mercedes-Benz 300 SL as a racing car from 1952 to 1953, and as a sports car from 1955 to 1963. It was the fastest car of the 300 SL era, which attracted attention with its doors opened in the form of “Gullwing”.

Produced from 1938 to 2003, the classic model is the world’s best-selling model with sales of over 21.5 million. The design of the vehicle’s outlines was made by Ferdinand Porsche at Hitler’s request. Furthermore, Volkswagen, which continued its production until the end of 2003 with a model for New Beetle since 1998, also renewed this model in 2011. However, Volkswagen terminated the Beetle series in 2019.

7. Ford Model T

Ford Model T, the first car model produced in accordance with the budget of ordinary citizens with the invention of the production line, deserves to be included in the list of classics even with this feature. The Model T, which sold more than 16 million copies until May 26, 1927, when its production stopped when it first went on sale on October 1, 1908, retained the title of the world’s best-selling car until the 1970s. Today, it is still the third best-selling car.
