Kitty Kabin Stands as a Revolutionary Pet Furniture
Being part of the Multifunctional Furniture for Small Space Living project, Kitty Kabin emphasizes sustainability and ease of assembly.
“De Markies” or “The Awning” named extendable campervan designed by Dutch architect Eduard Böhtlingk. In its compact form, there is only the caravan’s basic body which presents a kitchen, dining and storage space – sizes 2m x 4.5m. When it is extended, the mobile campervan unfastens up to triple in area within seconds and provides living and sleeping areas. Essentially created as competitor into a 1985 “Temporary Living” contest and is awarded the Rotterdam Design Public Prize in 1996.
