If you would like to return to the era of sidescrolling Nintendo games, you should definitely get the LEGO Mario and Yoshi set on October 1.
There is no dearth of creativity in this world and some instances are shown by talented artists like Ben Young. His glass sculptures have already become famous on several sites and these are created in wonderful effects and techniques. Another unique technique that is explored by him are working with layered glass.
Layered glass is created by putting together cut pieces of laminated window panes. With these he has created wonderful works of sculpture as shown here. Some of his work depicts water bodies that are shown as cross section layers which are similar to illustrations found in textbooks. He has also created geometric islands that are translucent using the same layered glass technique. The chamsic and monolithic design effects are created wonderfully with the use of layered glass panels.
