Although it was years ago, its culture still affects people. As a part of this culture, the designers of Red Wing Shoes decided to mimic Super Mario boots. As you can guess, the result is fascinating.

The company crafted Super Mario boots from Red Wing leather. The boots have a rounded heel and a reinforced toe box. The design team made the heel pads of Mario’s shoes with mushroom-infused material. These pads are a reminder of Mario’s signature abilities. The owner of the Mario games, Nintendo, tapped Red Wing Shoes to create the Boots. The boots will be a promotional item for the Super Mario Bros. movies, which will be out on April 5, 2023.

The design team of Red Wing Shoes stated that the pair of shoes is only a prototype. During the manufacturing phase, the company tried to translate every on-screen pixel into real life. The company also stated that  Super Mario boots have high-quality leather and slip-resistant treads, As you can see from the images, the shoes are also durable.

The mushroom-based heel pads refer to the game. In the game, this provides a welcome power-up that helps Mario take on his army and Bowser. Like in the game, Mario’s boots can resist extreme heat. The company tested its toe box to embrace and brace impact. After seeing the shoes, fans around the world wanted to have Super Mario boots. But unfortunately, the company said that the boots are not for sale for the time being. For your information, Red Wing Shoes brought the boots to New York at Rockefeller Center on March 10. The boots will be displayed throughout April.
