The Internet revolution has swept everyone off their feet. It is no more confined to online web browsing or video streaming as in earlier years. It has made our lives easier by providing online shopping and transaction facilities available all ways round. No time or location constraint making the news. Every new variety of stuff is available online that too with loads of varieties and less price. This has evoked a new sensation among the mass. Every person is ditching the old traditional method of shopping. The brick and mortar shops are a thing of the past. Then how are the old shopping malls going to survive?

An American shopping mall thought of a new and innovative way to solve their dilemma. The Arcade Providence, America’s oldest shopping mall was revamped into mini apartments for the Denizens of America. Many planners were called from the Northern Collaborative Architects to build the way it is now. The building remodeling cost was around $7 million, but its revenue is expected to be more than double the amount. The rents start at about $550 per month. It is feasible and worthy of the efforts taken. Many other malls have taken inspiration from it and hope to revamp their malls also.
