Many people with a home and a patio area love to spend time outdoors making a barbeque. It is indeed a great way to enjoy the weather when it is pleasant outside and all family members are present. For entertaining guests and friends on a winter afternoon this is a great option as well. however, one might think that making a barbeque station in the patio area would be a considerable investment. However, there are certain DIY projects that are easily implemented and one would not have to spend much.

Here is a DIY cinder block based bbq pit that can be built within a  budget of $250. The price might vary as per the materials that are used or the size that you wish to build. The project that is shown here features steel plates. If you already own a steel drum that can be discarded, it can form a great base for the BBQ pit. The steel plate base is all that needs to be constructed after which the cinder blocks are simply stacked in a dry condition as shown here.  In no time one can have a BBQ pit ready to entertain people and for enjoying family lunches out in the open with delicious barbequed meat.
