The United Arab Emirates hosts many important buildings. It seems that the country will never stop building new hallmarks. Besides the tallest residential buildings and other new projects, we are now excited about the longest cantilever that will be built. The Japanese company Nikken Sekkei designed the building, and Ithra Dubai developed it later. The project involves two towers that will be horizontally connected.
The design companies stated that their inspiration comes from the contemporary luxury style and modern architecture. Once someone mentions luxury, there is no doubt that everyone thinks of the UAE and its buildings. The longest cantilever, One Za’abeel, offers a perfect location, the powerful heartbeat of Dubai, luxury residential buildings, and many more.
For sure, the longest cantilever will become one of the landmarks of Dubai because One Za’abeel is not just a building. It offers ultra-luxury hospitality, a panoramic view of both the old and new city, a sky pool, and places to socialize. Dubai’s longest cantilever is near Dubai’s Central Business District, the Gold Souks of Deira, and the International Airport.
Details of the Longest Cantilever Project
One Za’abeel connects twin skyscrapers and stands 300 meters long. The total built-up area of the building is 470,700 sqm. Besides, the building will host a hotel, offices, residential units, and the world’s first vertical resort. The budget of the project is approximately 1 billion American dollars.
The project includes 37,000 sq m of office space, 12,000 sq m of retail space, 263 residential units, and 497 luxury hotel rooms. And of course, the building has high-speed lifts, which are 77 in total. The longest cantilever’s horizontal structure will include a number of resorts, restaurants, and bars. If you have a chance to visit the building and spend time there, you can also check out the observation deck, spa, gym, pool, rooftop terrace, and banquet hall. When completed, the entire project will weigh 13,000 tons.
